Siesta Beach
Below in Green is 8 mile long Siesta Key, just off the coast from Sarasota Florida. Siesta Key has a world famous white sandy beach (99 percent pure quartz sand) that folks come back to year after year, most visitors call it “Siesta Key Beach”.

But locals chose to refer to that white sandy beach by 2 different names; we call the northern half Siesta Beach and the southern half, Crescent Beach. Actually the two different names can be helpful.
Siesta Beach (the northern half) is called “Siesta Beach” because that is the name on the sign of our large public beach, simply “Siesta Beach”. Siesta Beach extends from the public beach north about a mile and a half until you cannot walk any further. At that northern tip, you are right are right next to the “downtown” area, “Siesta Village”.
There are many privately owned Vacation Rental Homes directly on Siesta Beach. Advantages of these rentals are their privacy and size, one can find larger rentals with 3, 4, or more bedrooms for extended family vacations. Minimum rental periods vary with individual owners but most are weekly. Here is one example:

There are 2 large condominimum complexes along Siesta Beach: Siesta Gulf View and the Terrace (adjacent to the Village). These large units have 30 day minimum rentals and therefore may not be of interest to the Vacation Renter. There are also a few medium sized condos with varying rental periods.
The road that starts at Siesta Public Beach and runs along Siesta Beach is "Beach Road"! (What a surprise)!
Along Beach Road there are 8 Public Access areas to Siesta Beach which include a limited number (10-20) parking spaces at each Public Access Area. The walking distance from Siesta Public Beach up to Siesta Village is about 1.5 miles. As the Access sites are all along Beach Road, the farther up (north) you get from the Public Beach, the closer you get to Siesta Village. The northern most access site is adjacent to the Village and fills quickly.
Siesta Village is at the northern end of the island, right next to Siesta Beach.

There is a small public access site right where the Village and the Beach intersect with parking for 20 cars or so. Needless to say that access site fills up quickly.
